About Me
I’ve had a love for street photography since I was a child, long before I knew it had a name. I would pore over a book on my parents’ shelf, The Family of Man (from the 1955 exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art in New York), in which hundreds of photos by the likes of Bill Brandt, Lisette Model, Elliott Erwitt, Robert Doisneau, and Helen Levitt cover the human story.
Decades later, I took up the challenge of photographing in the streets myself. I am drawn to ordinary people doing ordinary things. To me, it’s all extra-ordinary. Emotion, gesture, connection, humor—we humans are so much more the same than we are different, and hopefully my photos remind people of that.
